This day is pretty insignificant because my mom is treated like a queen all day, everyday, EVERY SINGLE YEAR! Perhaps, today only enhances her importance in my life but any other day, I would never pass up the opportunity to tell my mom how thankful I am to be her daughter.
I think this day is only geared towards people who take their parents for granted. If you do not spend time with your parents, then yes this day applies to you.
As for my mother, she is a very emotionally strong woman who knows how to hold her ground and speak her mind. I am getting there but will never be as classy and dignified as her.
To all wonderful women out there who fight hard to keep your family together, your bills paid on time and emotions balanced out with the daily stresses of life,
